I have lost 9 Lbs. with Mila!

I have.  And I wasn’t really trying.  Some may say that I must have started exercising.  I wish I had, but no.

I have not eaten more salads or eaten less.  OK, maybe just a little.  But after plateauing for the last 20 months at 207 (after losing about 18 Lbs) I am now down to 200 with gusts to 198.  Yeah I am fired up.  Other health benefits have popped up, and I will get to those.

First, about Mila.  Mila, by Lifemax is the Chia Seed, prepared in a proprietary way to be the most bio-available.  It gives me my Omega Fatty Acids and is easily prepared just by dumping a scoop in the morning into my water.  I stir with a knife or spoon and drink.  OJ can be used for those that want to hide it a little but no need in my opinion.

I suggest having another scoop either in food or in the same manner later in the day.

I met the CEO Paul Rogers and he seems really down to earth, while maintaining that high and intense profile as well.  He was very approachable considering I am really a rookie in this company.  My wife got in as she was enticed by a high school classmate into joining.

Once Dr. Malia (my wife) gives a product her Seal of Approval I’m generally on board at least for personal use.

As unusual as it is to get such quick results, I have jumped in with both feet.

More info will follow of course, and I love the attitude of the company.  Use the product, if your lucky someone will give you a bag for free, and see how you like it.  There is no hype that I know of and the way the company is expanding, they clearly have it together and a great World-vision.

Anyhow, go to http://rickemmerich.lifemax.net to find out more.  Rick Emmerich

Mila plus THIS diet is helping me keep off 9 lbs!

OK folks, here goes.

I have told you all that I have lost weight and that I have started taking a whole food supplement called Mila by Lifemax.  It’s this simple.  I mix the powder, which is Chia seed using a proprietary processing method…..with water.  It tastes kind of neutral and looks like it’s really good for you.  Those of us old enough just know that medicine or something good for you (spinach and its vegetable cousins, for example) don’t taste like Kool Aid.

After a nice full glass I eat my meals.  I usually get my morning dose, whether my wife puts it in the oatmeal or if I take it with water, as above.  Most of the time, I get a second glass or have it in food, but noit all the time.  This is why I am amazed at the weight loss.  I had not started exercising intil the other day, and I therefore am expecting more loss.

So here is my favorite value meal these days.  Please don’t think that I am encouraging ‘value meals’ but time and finances sometimes push me to the dollar menu.  They love me at Drive-Through.  I gave up making jokes there however, because so many don’t really speak English as their first language.

I get a McDouble with no pickles and no cheese.  That cheese is something made in a lab, I believe.  (I just don’t like pickles.)  I then order the star, a side salad.  The dressing is Paul Neuman which is pretty good and either just enough or sometimes a little too much.  I splurge with a Parfait which has surprisingly tasty and attractive fruit on  the botom and Vanilla Yogurt.  It is just enough fruit to seem healthy and just sweet enough to allow me to bypass the dollar Chocolate sundae.

Now, you MAY be saying to yourself that they see old Dollar Menu Guy (me) driving down the street and specially make these items extra good.  Or Not.  I think that this is what they always serve.  So, back to the Mila.  For about 3 months now I have taken the product on average every day at least once.  They recommend 2, as I do.  I forget though.

I had lost 16 lbs from 223 to 207 about 2 yearts ago using an herbal tea rather regularly.  In fact it made me more regular, cleansing the colon.  I gave up the tea after it just became a hassle to do all the time.  I managed to keep the weight off, good for me.

I had stopped drinking soda about 5 years ago after years of habitual Pepsi consumption.  I really had issues going back 5 1/2 years ago when I had  a heart attack. I cut back on red meat.  I’ve been pretty good, eating better and moving to paradise (Hawaii) and now receiving acupuncture, regular Chiropractic and Energy Healing.

So to lose 9 MORE lbs when I really wasn’t trying was, well, “Now we got something.”

So Mila, by Lifemax is it.  There are so many testimonials that are more powerful than mine, and studies, we GOT studies.  Lots.

Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh No! PT 1

You know I could not resist this one.  Lions.  Some of you may think because I am from the midwest that I MAY right about the Detroit Lions, very much the BAD NFL team, and a study in futility.  WRONG.

It’s the Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins.  Surprised?  I am a Christian, not just a suggestion or a once-in-a-while act I put on.  I heard the word at the age of 38 or 39 I believe after some varied exposure and after preparing by being involved in very selfish, destructive, and somtimes major sin for years.

I believed the Word, again, after much messing up in my life, I guess God said, this one’s ready to do some work for me.  Having owned a Bible for years but developing a layer of dust on it as I packed it up and moved it from place to place, never to open it.  I really went after it, and studied the Bible with some of my peers who knew what it meant and lived what it said.

I repented, having done things wrong for so long, I had to make a strong effort to reverse course and move away from the behaviors, thoughts and atitudes that had me in the dark.  I was serious and welcomed the assistance of the others who now were geting to know me.  They started to hold me accountable.

I understood what I studied, asked questions and certainly answered a lot of them as I made my way through studies.  I drove an hour each Sunday and worshipped with other believers.  I noticed the diversity of the fellowship, the joy and the zeal to hear the Word and implement it in the disciples’ lives.

On that important night, and following some extra soul-searching and thought and prayer, I confessed “Jesus is Lord!” as I acknowledged that He lived, died and was crucified, and then resurrected on the third day for the forgiveness of all of our sins.

And then I got baptised, fully immersed, and shot up out of the water.  My sins were washed away, forgiven and I was added to God’s Kingdom!  I received the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Wow.

I understand that some of you (is anyone left?) may not believe that all of these steps are necessary.  Heck, just say a prayer, or ‘have something emotional happen.’  My Bible says to do what I did and that’s what they did in the first century after the Day of Pentecost, when Jesus’ disciples were still alive.

So, that’s what I did and if you want to take your chances by following a teaching that came about in the 18th Century in England or here in the US…let me know how that works for you.

PS To any who are curious or serious about studying the Bible let me know and I can perhaps arrange for that to happen.
