It’s here, and as usual I don’t care.  I am about as patriotic as the next person, but isn’t Memorial Day for that?

My wife (Dr. Malia) and I are chillin’ like villians and I could use a day off, but we really are hoping that there are some stores open when we go to run errands.  It has been a good year.  I guess this is the half way point isn’t it?

I have so much to be grateful for.  I live in Hawaii.  I now have a fantastic job.  I am slowly getting used to the fact that I now work 40 hours at an office rather than from home.  Give me a little more time on that.  The job will really reward me for the skills I have been developing over the years and I am a bit surprised still that it all came about. 

I am in sales at Your EZ to Use Island Pages, an independent directory here in Hawaii.  We are part of a huge company, Ogden Directories that runs many newspapers and telephone directories and even owns the Pittsburgh Pirates.  (I know, I know, I wouldn’t brag TOO much about the Pirates’ season, but it’s a small fraternity of people that are Major League Baseball team owners.)   Who do ya know that needs Yellow Pages advertising? 

I have my Zrii business, and I am ratcheting it down just a bit.  My wife and I are healthier because of this tremendous liquid nutritional and I get a check.  I will still make calls but the bulk of my non 40 hour work time THIS weekend is aimed at my new job.

I have a new business that I feel is going to be a very timely operation.  Xziex makes water from the air, or atmosphere.  Just think about that for a minute.

The real reason that I am NOT that excited today is that I am not a huge fan of fireworks-never have been.  My wife and I have two cats.  They like them even less.  So we may have to bundle them up and head to her office where they will not have to hear the noises that remind us all of ‘the bombs bursting in air.’  What good did those bombs bursting in air do anyway?  

I love these guys.  I really had thought they were a side show.  Not the big lumbering elephants parading around the ring (American) or the fierce tigers (Continental), but the clowns on their unicycles in the big circus.  That was fun, wasn’t it?

Then I flew the brand new Jet Blue plane.  Pilots Jeff and Lance, (one of them looked like a daytime soap actor, the other, not really) flew the A320 I believe, masterfully into SLC.

I then had a rollicking 4 days at the Zrii Launch convention, and came back to the airport for what I figured would be a quiet and relaxing flight back to Long Beach.  On the last day, I had found a check that I turned in.  The people were so glad that they gave me a hand made bust of Jesus, or Joseph Smith.  Since I am a Christian, I have named him JC.

But what was important at that moment was me trying to cram JC (bless his heart) into my luggage to get onto the plane.  The very nice people at the uncrowded ticketing area were very patient and understanding.  They allowed me to check my attache case.  That at least delayed the problem that I would have getting onto the other carrier’s flight at LAX, the next day.  I won’t mention names, but let’s call THEM Water Buffalo.

As I got on the plane I was met with enthusiastic smiles and more of the great attitude I now expect on Jet Blue.

I settled in and got a window seat.  That would prove somewhat profitable as I got some mountain shots on my camera out the window.  It’s a shame to be in a place for 4 1/2 days and not even get a decent look at the Wasatch Mountain Range.  Heck I wouldn’t even know THAT name if I hadn’t been there before.  You know what I mean don’t you, business travelers?

It was an uneventful trip back (which on airlines is good).  Did I mention the great Customer Service and the smiling crew members?  As we deplaned, I slipped through the tiny airport quickly, grabbed my case and waited for my ride.

I would not say that there is a new sheriff in town necessarily, but Jet Blue has zoomed to the top of my short-hop choices.  They assured me that those planes could NOT hold enough fuel to take us over the big pond to our rock in the middle of the Pacific.  

That’s too bad.  Some of THOSE endangered species are now extinct.  Since I got hung up on the animals, I will proclaim the Jet Blue JAGUAR of the airline animals.  (Thanks for getting me to Hawaii, water buffalo.) 

As I taxied toward takeoff on my new favorite airline Jet Blue, I reflected on the previous 4 days.  Zrii was launched!  I had gotten a high concentration of my favorite product, frequently double-dipping at the Zrii Bar.  I hung out with my upline, and talked to one of the highest paid IEs in the company. I took a lot of notes on techniques, strategies, dreams and visions.  I met famous BBall player Thurl Bailey and got his autograph.  I sponsored a guy in the hot tub at the Hilton-still waiting for him to actually follow through. I found a check on the sidewalk which I returned (of course.)  The couple was so happy that they gave me a bronze staue that the husband had created.  Being in Salt Lake City (SLC) I wasn’t sure if it was Joseph Smith (mormon dude) or Jesus.  I was hoping it was Jesus but leaning towards the other guy.  I have proclaimed him JESUS. I watched Bill Farley so eloquently announce our start and then pour out his thoughts.  I know Deepak Chopra thrilled the crowd and Thurl Bailey and Chris Gardner (Pursuit of Happyness) spoke so well also.  Many others, including Jason Domingo, our master distributor gave out nuggets of wisdom too. Anyway, with all of the new materials and sales aids and theories, and with the celebrities behind us, I look so forward to continuing to build this-Look Out.  Zrii is SO ready to hit unheard of goals for a company starting out.  The Pre Launch phase worked out all the kinks very early on, and now we are at full gallop.   I see so much integrity in the management. So, what’s next.  Well more of the same-many phone calls, some in-person (belly to belly) presentations and more people that have dreams like I do finding ways through this company to acheive them.  Join us!     

Drs, they sometimes LIKE to give us the news and, sometimes, well, you can just tell, right?

I have a quick blurb from a Dr. Paul Williams, who from my sources is a great Dr. and speaker.  When I get the whole speech, I will look at giving more info.

He said in a recent speech that there are 3 TOP causes of death in the medical community.

One.  No surprise here…..it’s Heart Disease.  See previous blogs, and for obvious reasons, I will be updating heart health info weekly.  As some of you know I am the ‘Heart Health Guy’.  There are all kinds of factors that contribute to heart disease.  Certainly some are completely in our control.

Two.  And giving the heart a run for the money, it’s…Cancer.  I know, there’s a shock.  As we find out every day, there are more and more things that contribute to cancers.

and coming in at number Three, is….drum roll please….The Medical Profession.  Yes, you read that right.  That same group of highly trained professionals, they make mistakes.  Heck, when I make a mistake, I pull out the white-out.  (I know, not on the computer screen.)  When Drs make them, it can result in the wrong limb being removed, and as we know, death is worse.

In that category would be deaths resulting from wrongly using prescriptions, and as you might guess, there is wrong diagnosing.  Now, I did not write this to bust the Drs, just to present an alternative.

As many of us get more knowledge and perhaps return to alternative medicine and preventative measures, doesn’t it follow that less trips to MDs, and hospitals, means less prescriptions and less operations.  Why not prepare the body for health, by balancing it?

Don’t throw out the Acupuncturists, the Chiropractors, the Massage Therapists just because your insurance doesn’t cover it.  There are more and more articles published each year that reflect on thousands of years of Eastern Practices as opposed to mere hunderds of years of medicine here.

I knows some MDs and certainly am aware of the hard work and dedication that they have gone through to become Drs in the first place, and then to build a practice.  I am not here to bash them.  I am particularly grateful to the Cardiologist, Dr. Frank Cummins that saved my life on the operating table about 32 months ago.

On the other hand, Drs are human and make human being-type mistakes as we see.

Just like the people that are getting sick from the poison that is shot into them called a flu shot, there are others feeling the repercussions from all the prescription meds that are out there.

I am rising up to declare.  Get fit, get healthy and stay away from the Drs!  Change your diet, cleanse your body, dump the addictions, and this one is going to hurt (me), exercise. 

We see radical transformations on the TV with many people losing so much weight.  That has to become a habit, as does the other factors I have mentioned.

As the weeks go by I will talk about alternatives to stress, obesity, heart disease, and death, by bringing news and teachings that apply.

I’m zriiiming on a sunday afternoon.  My new question on my mind is “How GREAT will it feel to be a 7 Star with Zrii?”  To those in Zrii, the Original Amalaki, that’s a lofty goal, but also one that can lead to retirement income and real financial freedom.  To get to 7 Star by Sept. 30 would assure one of being part of a very elite group, those that acheive the Founder’s Bonus.

The company has guessed that the Founder’s Bonus will be somewhere around 50K this first year, but as the company grows that yearly exclusive group will earn more and more and more.

It is something to shoot for for sure, but not just by signing up and talking to a few friends.

I am just an average guy.  I feel that I have a good work ethic.  They say that when a Network Marketing Company really takes off, that those who are there (HERE) at the beginning can make big money even if average.   Those that are really good, will truly excel.

On the flipside, with companies that have been around a long time, it really take excellence to make big money with them.  Take that Amway/Quixtar/Amway.

Numbers are not the only thing, though.  What gets me excited is the quality of the people joining us as IEs, as well as the Customer Service/help people in Salt Lake City.  We seem to be attracting high quality individuals and I suspect that is intentional.

I met one of the VPs of the company.  Zrii, the Original Amalaki has some of the best leadership ever in Network Marketing.  Each one seems full of zeal, knowledge, class, integrity, and  well, leadership.

Curtis Call looked at ease in Hawaiian attire at the first meeting, and really blended well with the groups here.  They ran him a bit ragged with the events here, and I can see that Zrii is on the rise in Hawaii.

He gave me respect as I did bend his ear about some of our group’s issues.  He took our suggestions and I saw an immediate effort to adress some of them.

He really spoke to the nutritional benefits and mentioned pubmed.org and scholar.google.com, which contain a wealth of articles about the various ingredients in our tonic.

Those ingredients are amalaki, shizandra, ginger, tulsi, turmeric, jujube, and haritake.

If you are with another company and are inclined to attack your competitors take a close look at our ingredients.  And note the ‘no preservatives.’   My wife is a Dr and we had to be ’sold’ on the drink before we would seriously promote it. (Have I told you about my wife?)

She brought home a new drink product that a distributor had left her at the office.  It is a big bottle, not a cheap investment.  As she muscle tested me for individual ingredients we came across three that my body ‘liked.’  Those three made sense to both of us, (one is in Zrii), but I was quickly discouraged to see not one, but two preservatives in that bottle.

It tasted interesting, not bad.  But this is not something that I could use OR sell, because of the preservatives.  Let my friend and mentor Craig tell you about where those preservatives come from…..

I tell you this, not because I was looking for anything else, remember that bottle was free.  But there are good products out there, that’s for sure.  We suggest that one takes the Five Pillars into account in evaluating a network marketing company.  One is product, and that is important.  But ALL five pillars need to be in place for a company to have long-time success.

The little bottles are here.  WOW. Our Zrii Amalaki business will now take off…..for sure.  This is one of the things we were waiting patiently for.  We are also waiting for some people to decide whether to get into business with us, but I have a feeling that we will always have to have that type of patience.

Our company is still in Pre Launch and there have been a few little holdups, or delays.  Good thing our CEO Bill Farley has deep pockets.  Legend has it that when we were behind on the shipping of the little bottles, (3 oz. samples) he went to the vendor to talk about it.  Hands on, I like that.

When there, they decided that this was an assignment that was way over their head.  When he was figuring out what to do, he realized that he would need the bottle molds to be able to resume production when he DID find a bottler that could handle it.  Obviously the molds were NOT for sale.

Well, he reached into the deep pockets and after some negotiation it turned out they were for sale after all.  The molds, perhaps worth about 500 dollars could be had for a mere…..Ten Thousand Dollars.  (Ya gotta be careful in New Orleans at midnight in dark alleys with huge diamond rings on too, btw, but I digress.)

So, then,  “Who would bottle our tonic, then?”

He then found a new bottler that would take on the project.  But one problem remained for them.  They could not meet the production demands.  “What will it take”  Bill asked?

Well, the answer came after a hem and a haw, remember hemming and hawing?  It’s making a comeback in my blog.  The situation required a …..new machine.  “And how much is that new machine?”  he asked, seemingly with the checkbook already in his left hand?

One point five million dollars!  Aha, let’s write the check then!

He’s my kind of guy, that Bill.  Not that MY checkbook is exactly like his.  My checkbook can LEARN from his though.  But that was the kind of decision that has to be made in the life of a network marketing company in startup.  Many times a company makes these decisions based on a LACK of funds, or makes the wrong decision altogether.  Good thing we are over THAT hump.

These type of critical decisons separate great network marketing companies from the rest.  I will cover the 5 Pillars for Success in Network Marketing in a (near) future blog.

Leads, what are they?  How do I utilize them to build my network marketing business?

I am going to prove that I don’t have to be an expert to write a blog on a subject.  If you’ve read previous blogs, you may be already nodding your head.

The best leads are those that have network marketing experience, and are looking for something right now.

There are leads for the cost of 3 million for 100 bucks, and they range all the way up to 20 bucks each, even more.  Watch out Einstein, here comes!  The fresh leads and the ones that cost the most MAY be better than the other ones I mentioned.  And they may not.  How do you get them?  Usually you purchase and hope.

Some have answered surveys and questionnaires, and are ready to be approached.  But you never know.  If you believe every thing you read, there are leads so good, they can’t wait for you to call them, or hit them with an autoresponder.

There are some that are really not quality.  These are so-called opportunity seeking sites that draw one in with the promise of a free laptop, or free whatever.  These sites never let you out until you purchase something, or subscribe to some magazine or something.  The other way is to disconnect your laptop and throw it out of the 11th floor window.  I know, not everyone lives high enough up…..Anyway, some of these people as if they weren’t tortured enough, end up as so-called network marketer leads.  Good luck.

The best leads I get are free, from my mentor.  He gets them in various ways, but I must say he is very creative.  Most of the time, the people are not surprised to be called, and I can almost always carry on a complete (short) conversation without a hitch.  Of course, if you are NOT in business with us, that is not an option.

No matter what, if you are power recruiting it takes a lot of dials to really see results.  Plan on making a thousand, then stepping back to take a look.  In my routine, I usually get 1/4 to 1/2 of those I contact to listen and allow me to send them more information.  There are days where the numbers are lower, sure.

Note, I did NOT say SELL them something, or pitch them.  I am simply calling to get permission to send more info, after which I follow up.  I make very short calls, and then get right back on the phone for the next ones.

If it’s internet marketing you are doing, you will need to deal with much higher numbers of leads.
