Lower Cholesterol with Raw Whole Food (I did)

Mila by Lifemax is a rather new company sharing an ‘old’ whole food, making a triumphant ‘new’ return. You know what comes next.  Mila does not claim to diagnose or cure any condition or disease.  My results while recent and accurate may not be duplicated by you.

These results DO back up previous medical studies done by LifeMax about Mila.  A clinical study conducted by the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston concluded that the raw whole food Mila, matched the leading statin drug in its ability to lower both LDL and systolic blood pressure.  One can find details of this and many other studies at Mila’s website.

My personal, but slightly less scientific study came about last summer (July ‘09) when my doctor did a stress test and took various other tests.  I told her that I did not want to go onto statin drugs and would lower my cholesterol with natural/alternative methods.  As I walked out of the doctor’s office, I wondered how in the heck I was going to do that.

In September my wife, Dr. Malia (Emmerich), was introduced to Mila.  My reaction as her husband and a network marketer was “You did what?!”  As an incredible gift, her high school friend actually put her in the business.  After I calmed down, I realized that Dr. Malia, an expert on nutrition and alternative/complimentary medicine, should be respected by her husband.  In October I began using Mila on an almost daily basis.

Mila, the miracle seed, is a mixture of Salvia hispanica L. seed that has been carefully selected to maximize its nutritional value.  Our proprietary system insures that every serving is optimized for the highest bioavailability and nutritional value.  Mila gives the body what it needs — Omega 3s, protein, fiber and phytonutrients.  By giving the body proper nutrition, you help the body heal itself, which is the basic premise of whole food nutrition.

To keep things as controlled as possible I did not change my diet or exercise.  After the 2nd study I did exercise some, which I know is good for me, but other than a couple more ponds lost, I have not changed much, or been retested (a 3rd time.)

If anything I had gone on a McDonalds Dollar Menu binge for a while in Sept. and Oct.  A typical visit would be a McDouble with no pickles and a Side Salad, not using all the  dressing.  I would start the meal with a Parfait, fruit and vanilla yogurt.  I’ve since re-evaluated those choices.

When I go now, I may still get the yogurt and eat it first, but the McDouble with be without cheese as well.  (I think that cheese is made in a lab.  Trust me, I’ve toned down the Golden Arches visits lately.  It’s hard to eat there and still call myself hearthealthguy (Twitter) or write this blog (health, wealth and happiness.)

Now my results:                       7/09                12/09

Total Cholesterol                      264                  197

Triglycerides                             332                  115

HDL (Good Cholesterol)             36                    43

LDL (Bad Cholesterol)               162                   131

Fasting glucose level                113                   100

Heart Pumping Ejection Fraction is 54% (50% is normal)

Weight                                      207                    193

As you can see, these are all positive changes. I suggest using this raw, whole food product.  See for yourself.  Chia seeds are available in health food stores in a much lower quality.  The very reasonable price for Mila is well worth it!

Results of the tests done by Kaiser Moanalua Clinic in Aiea (Oahu) were evaluated and reported by Dr. Kathy Manzoku-Kanja at the Pensacola Clinic of Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu.

Mila, the miracle seed, by Lifemax

I tell ya, I wish I had a quarter for every Superfood, every ‘can’t miss’

health product, every opportunity that is just alright, OK or sometimes

mediocre.  Sometimes you get hooked on a business and you just have

to  use that product, and tell everyone that it is the best.  You have to

believe it too, cuz you’re on autoship and they NEED to be too.

Well, guess what.  After my wife, Dr. Malia found this product, Mila by

Lifemax, I was skeptical.

It is the Chia Seed, which has been available for a while in Health Food

stores.  It is the superfood of the Aztecs, used by their elite runners to

excel in their craft.  It has been studied by a Dr. who found a proprietary

way to prepare it to maximize it’s potency.

I am now on board, and so far have lost 13 lobs since adding it to my

daily intake.  I either add it to my oatmeat, yogurt, or orange juice and it is

a protein.  It tastes a bit nutty, but not really like anything.

The real test has been done and the results are coming any day now.

Last week I went on for a cardio stress test and according to the techs it

went very well.

Earlier this year my Dr. had told me that the cholesterol levels were too

high and I should go on statins to bring it down.  I told here NO, I will bring

it down myself, although I did not know how.  And then came Mila, stay

tuned.   (tune in to  www.rickemmerich.lifemax.net
